DigiAPLR
The DigiAPLR Portal provides accurate and digitized versions of judgments in the public
domain, significantly advancing accessibility and transparency in legal information
dissemination. Head-notes enable law students, young advocates, and practitioners to
understand the essential legal principles and issues addressed in judgments. These are made
available free of cost and may be accessed at any time.
Digital reports offer uninterrupted access to legal materials, removing geographical
barriers and supporting users in remote areas, including persons with visual impairments who rely
on screen-reading tools. Advanced search features facilitate faster and more precise research by
enabling retrieval of precedents through keywords, phrases, or subject filters.
By providing cost-effective access to extensive legal resources, it minimizes expenses
associated with purchasing traditional law journals. Multiple users or institutions can
simultaneously access the same digital material.
The digital repository complements broader judicial initiatives such as e-filing, virtual
hearings, online scheduling, and AI-assisted research, thereby enhancing institutional efficiency.
Wider public access to judgments strengthens transparency, accountability, and the rule of law.
