Since there were number of vacancies in Sub-ordinate Courts, as no recruitment had taken place on account
of bifurcation blues, the combined High Court had directed the Principal District Judges/Unit Heads of both
Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to take up recruitment process. Though there were initial hiccups for the
recruitment of various categories of posts, ultimately the recruitment process taken up by the unit heads was
considered and 251 posts were filled up.
The District wise data is as follows:

Conferences and Workshops:
To gauge the performance of the Judicial Officers at district level, as directed by the committee to judges,
conferences were being conducted at the District Head Quarters. The Administrative Judges of the respective
districts periodically held conferences, took the stock of the situation at the Trial Courts and encouraged
the Judicial Officers to dispose of old pending cases on priority basis. All the Administrative Judges of the
respective districts have conducted the conferences.

Appointment of Law Clerks and Internships.
To assist the Hon’ble Judges the Law graduates fresh from the universities were taken as Law Clerks. The
Government of Andhra Pradesh issued G.O.R.T.No.501, (L, LA & J-Home(courts.B)dept) dated 28.05.2020,
on consolidated pay of Rs.35,000, giving consent for appointment of 30 law clerks. Registry has addressed
letter dated 17.02.2022 to increase the strength of law clerks from 30 to 40 and orders from the government
are awaited.

The Law Clerks gained rich experience by working with the High Court Judges and once they leave the office
they would become promising advocates. Infact some of the Law Clerks have chosen the Judicial Services
and were appointed as Junior Civil Judges in two telugu speaking states.
