RECRUITMENT
Change Is Permanent - Fresh blood required
Though the united Andhra Pradesh was bifurcated in the year 2014, the Judiciary continued to serve both the
states. On 01.01.2019 the Judiciary is separated and High Court of Andhra Pradesh has been formed at the
hallowed portals of Amaravati. Infact in the initial days (ie.,from 01.01.2019 to 18.03.2019), it functioned from
a temporary Court complex form Vijayawada, only on 18.03.2019, the High Court started functioning from the
present building at Amarvati.
On account of bifurcation, several wings of the Government have undergone a sea change. The Judiciary is
no exception. The list of the Judicial Officers who were allocated to Andhra Pradesh Judiciary was published
on 27.12.2018. The Officers who opted for Telangana have been transferred to Telangana by the proceedings
of common High Court dated 30.12.2018. On the evening of 31.12.2018 all the Hon’ble Judges of High Court
of AP left their offices at Hyderabad and came to Vijayawada to discharge their constitutional functions from
the newly created High Court at Amaravati. The swearing-in-ceremony of the Hon’ble Judges was held on
01.01.2019.
When option was given to the staff of the High Court, 70% to 80% have opted for Telangana High Court. Only
with skeleton staff the High Court of Andhra Pradesh started functioning on 01.01.2019.
Recruitment of Judicial Officers is a continuous process. Every year number of Judicial Officers demit offices
on reaching superannuation. Unless recruitment to the vacant posts of all cadres is taken up in a time bound
manner, the Judicial Courts do not function to its optimum level. The responsibility is upon the High Court to
fill up the vacancies of all cadres so also fill up the staff in the High Court. His Lordships the Chief Justice of
Andhra Pradesh assisted by Recruitment Cell oversee the recruitment process.
