Recruitment of District Judges from 01.01.2019 Civil Judges (Senior and Junior Division) from 2019

The strength of the Judicial Officers as on 01.01.2019 was 574. However, the strength was increased to 597 in
the year 2020. It was further increased to 607 in the year 2021 and it remained same in the year 2022.
The following Pie chart shows the cadre strength of all Judicial Officers as on 01.1.2022.

· District Judges – 149
· Senior Civil Judges -134
· Junior Civil Judges – 324

The Sanctioned strength of Hon’ble High Court of AP as on 01.01.2019 was 37 and the working strength
was 14. However, the vacancies were filled up on regular basis with the active support of the chief Justice of
Andhra Pradesh. As on today i.e.; on 31.10.2022 the working strength of Hon’ble High Court is 30 as against
sanctioned strength of 37.
