Digital Storage and Data Management

The High Court has established a robust storage infrastructure for preserving scanned and digitised judicial records.
The Storage Area Network (SAN) installed in the High Court Server Room, together with storage available at the State Data Center, provides approximately 212 TB of usable storage capacity, designed to meet the anticipated requirements for at least the next ten years.

For the District Judiciary, a 500 TB Unified Storage system has been procured under Phase III of the eCourts Project.
The digitised records of the District Judiciary will be centrally managed and securely made available to authorised stakeholders through the High Court's central server using SD-WAN connectivity.

The High Court is fully computerized and equipped with the infrastructure required for a paperless court environment, as part of the vision of developing Integrated Digital Courts in India. All 658 Courts in the District Judiciary are fully computerized, and the High Court is in the process of commencing the paperless court environment across the District Judiciary. This transformation will further enhance efficiency, transparency, accessibility and effective case management.

Video Conferencing Infrastructure

The High Court is fully equipped with Video Conferencing facilities in all Court Halls. Display Boards have also been installed in front of the Court Halls and at common areas to facilitate real-time dissemination of court information.

In the District Judiciary, Video Conferencing equipment has been provided to 658 Courts, with procurement under process for an additional 96 newly established Courts. All District Jails and Government Headquarters Hospitals are connected through the Video Conferencing facility, facilitating secure and efficient virtual court proceedings.

The Andhra Pradesh Electronic Communication and Video Conferencing Rules, 2026 have also been published, providing a legal framework for electronic communication and video conferencing in the judicial system.

All 658 Courts in the District Judiciary are using the NSTEP module for electronic monitoring of processes. Criminal Courts have also commenced implementation of eSummons following the publication of the Andhra Pradesh Electronic Processes (Issuance, Service and Execution) Rules, 2025.

These initiatives facilitate faster and more transparent service and execution of judicial processes through digital means.

eSewa Kendras and Citizen-Centric Services

The High Court has established four eSewa Kendras within the High Court premises and 34 eSewa Kendras across the District Judiciary in districts having more than ten Courts. An additional 29 eSewa Kendras are proposed to be established during the current financial year.

These eSewa Kendras provide accessible digital services to litigants, advocates and other stakeholders, particularly those who may require assistance in accessing online judicial services.

The IT infrastructure established by the High Court of Andhra Pradesh provides the technological foundation for a secure, connected, paperless and citizen-centric judicial ecosystem. The integration of high-speed connectivity, secure networks, video conferencing, large-scale digital storage, digitisation, electronic processes, eSewa Kendras and paperless court infrastructure is intended to transform the delivery of justice through technology. The High Court of Andhra Pradesh is continuously strengthening its IT infrastructure in alignment with the vision of the eCourts Project Phase III and the broader objective of establishing accessible, transparent, efficient and technology-enabled courts across Andhra Pradesh.
