Justice Mandhata Seetharama Murti hails from a family of Lawyers of Kakinada of East Godavari District. He is a third-generation Lawyer in the hierarchy and had actively practiced for 12 years, until his selection as a District Judge. He, an experienced Lawyer and a Judge, had also specialized in teaching and training Judicial Officers and Ministerial Officers of the Courts in the State of Andhra Pradesh. While working as a Senior Faculty and Additional Director of the Andhra Pradesh Judicial Academy he had compiled reading and reference material for the various academic programmes and in the process had worked with Judges of all Cadres, Academicians, Teachers, Jurists and Faculty and had compiled teaching materials and reference materials in the field of law and allied subjects. On his direct appointment in December, 1996 as a District Judge Gr. II in the Andhra Pradesh Higher Judicial Services, he had participated in the two months foundation course for the Direct Recruit District Judges in the Andhra Pradesh Judicial Academy. Afterwards, he had worked as Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases-cum-II Additional District Judge, Nellore, III Additional District and Sessions Judge, Kurnool, Senior Faculty and Additional Director, Judicial Academy, Judge, Family Court, Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases-cum-III Additional District and Sessions Judge, Special Judge for CBI Cases, Metropolitan Sessions Judge, Visakhapatnam, Principal District and Sessions Judge, Vizianagaram District, Principal District and Sessions Judge, Ranga Reddy District, Registrar General of the High Court, Chairman, Sales Tax Appellate Tribunal, Visakhapatnam, Chief Judge, City Civil Court, Hyderabad District. He was appointed as Additional Judge of the High Court of Andhra Pradesh and sworn in as Additional Judge of the High Court on 23.10.2013. He was born on 16th of January. He holds a Degree in B. Sc., and Degree in Law, both from Andhra University. He won the Gold Medal for proficiency in Law of Torts in first Law apart from other prizes. He was awarded best trainee District Judge Gold Medal for the year 1996-97 by the Academy. He is married to Mrs. Srimatha and the couple is blessed with a daughter Ms. Srutha Keerthi and a son Master M. S. Atchyut Chittenna. He is passionate in meditation, listening to music, travelling and spending time with children. Hon’ble Sri Justice Adusumalli Venkata Ravindra Babu was born in the year 1962 to Sri Adusumalli Raghava Rao (Late) and Smt. Seetharamamma in a middle class agricultural family of Thimmayapalem Village, Addanki Mandal of erstwhile Prakasam District and now in Bapatla District. Had his primary education in his native village. Completed his Secondary Education and Intermediate in Government Junior College, Addanki. Completed his graduation B.A., in Velidi Venkateswarlu and Mangamma (VVM) Degree College, Ongole (affiliated to Andhra University). Completed his Law Degree B.L., in Venkatagiri Rajah’s (VR) Law College, Nellore (affiliated to Sri Venkateswara University the only law college by then in the area of Sri Venkateswara University). Enrolled himself as Advocate on the Rolls of Bar Council of the combined State of Andhra Pradesh on 10.06.1988 and joined the office of Sri Muddana Ramaiah Chowdary (Late), Chirala, a leading Criminal Lawyer in Prakasam District. Hon’ble Sri Justice Ramesh Madhav Bapat hails from an illustrious Maharashtrian family of Legal luminaries. He was born on 30th April, 1941 in Maharashtra State, India. His respected great grand-father was a reputed Lawyer. His revered grand-father though a Law Graduate worked in a coveted Post in the erstwhile Princely state of Mysore. His grandfather’s brother was also a famous Lawyer. His beloved father was a Garrison Engineer. Sri Ramesh did schooling in various Institutions in the State of Gujarat and Maharashtra, at places where his father was posted. He did his intermediate and B.Sc.,(Hons.) from the University of Pune. He obtained his Law Degree in 1965 from Pune University. He worked for two years in the Chamber of Sri C.B. Agarwal, Bar-at-Law. He mainly practiced in Civil Side. He was Standing Counsel for several leading and famous private Companies.

Sri Ramesh was selected as District & Sessions Judge in 1979 and posted at Thane. Subsequently he was appointed as Additional Registrar of Nagpur Bench of Bombay High Court. In 1984 he was transferred to Ratnagiri as District & Sessions Judge and later to Parbani. (Parbani was part and parcel of the erstwhile Nizam State). At Parbani Shri Ramesh, as District and Sessions Judge disposed of all the old pending Revision Applications against the orders passed by the Magistrates U/S-125 Cr.P.C., by the time he was transferred to Nagpur in August 1989.

In November, 1990 he was appointed as Registrar, Bombay High Court. Later he worked as Principal Judge, Family Court, Bombay. Shri Ramesh made a name in the history of Maharashtra State as the only Judge whose disposal rate was the highest.

Shri Ramesh was elevated as an Additional Judge of the Bombay High Court on 20th January, 1994. Later transferred to Andhra Pradesh as Additional Judge of Andhra Pradesh High Court on 11th Februray, 1994 and appointed as a Judge of A.P. High Court w.e.f. 7.7.1995. Justice Shri Ramesh is fond of literature and more interested in Judicial work.

Hon’ble Dr. Justice Motilal B. Naik was born in “Naginayanicheruvu Tanda” Village of Somandepalli Mandal, Anantapur District, Andhra Pradesh, India on April 15, 1942. Had Primary education in the Village School at Naginayanicheruvu Tanda and High School in the Government High School at Penukonda and in Vivekananda High School at Lepakshi in Anantapur District. Initially practised in the High Court of Andhra Pradesh at Hyderabad. Later, in the year 1978, shifted practice to the District & Sessions Court at Warangal and continued to practice there up to the end of 1985. In the early part of 1986, again shifted practice to High Court at Hyderabad.Appointed as Assistant Government Pleader in the High court of Andhra Pradesh in the month of June, 1986 and continued as such up to 4.8.1988.

Hon’ble Sri Justice E. Dharma Rao was born on 15th July 1951 in an agricultural family of Krapa village situated in Mummadivaram Mandal, east Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh, India to his late parents Sri E. Suranna and Smt. E. Neelama. He passed his S.S.L.C. in 1969 from Zilla Parishad High School, Ananthavaram. He joined in P.U.C. in S.K.B.R. College, Amalapuram and passed in the year 1970, thereafter obtained Bachelor’s degree in Arts in 1973 from the same College. He did his Master’s Degree in Sociology in 1973-75 from Andhra University, Waltair. Thereafter, he took his Bachelor’s Degree in Law in 1978 from the same University. Thereafter he enrolled himself as an Advocate on 2.11.1978 at A.P. State Bar Council, Hyderabad and joined the Chambers of Mr. M.R.K. Choudhary and continued for about 4 years. Thereafter, in 1982 he was selected as a Trainee under the Scheme of Administration of Justice, sponsored by the Social Welfare Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh and joined the office of Advocate General. In 1983 he was appointed as Assistant Government Pleader and associated with four Advocate Generals up to 1989: Sri K. Subrahmanya Reddy, Sri E. Manohar, Sri V.Venataramaiah and Sri R. Venugopal Reddy. In 1990 he was appointed as Government Pleader and dealt with the subjects of Irrigation, Housing and Municipal Administration for a period of one year. Once again, in 1995 he was appointed as Government Pleader and dealt with the subjects of Home and Cinematography, Legislative Affairs, Prohibition and Excise, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, General Administration, Municipal Administration and Urban Development.

He has written three articles and were published in reputed Journals, titled as: (a) Claims of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes to Posts and Services; (b) Scheduled castes and Scheduled Tribes admission into Educational Institutions; and (c) Prohibition of discrimination on the ground of sex.

Hon’ble Sri Justice Pemmasani Sankara Narayana popularly known as P.S.Narayana was born on 13th July 1948 at Chinthakalva village near Tirupati, a holy town in Chittoor District of Andhra Pradesh, India. He had his early elementary education at Tiruthani and Karvetinagar and High School education at P.M. High School, Renigunta. He had obtained his B.Sc., degree from S.V. Arts College, Tirupati and obtained his B.L. Degree from S.V. University College, Tirupati. He did M.A. Post graduation degree in Public Administration. Enrolled as an Advocate on 10th October 1973 originally on the Rolls of Bar Council of Madras. Initially he had practiced for about a decade at Tirupati in Chittoor District. He had the privilege of working as a Junior Advocate in the Chambers of Sri Balamuri Radhakrishnaiah and Sri Madabhushi Krishnaswami the two leading advocates of Tirupati Bar who are no more, for some time and then began his independent practice at Tirupati and shifted his practice to the High Court of Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad. He was commanding a good volume of work in Civil and Criminal cases while practising at Tirupati. After shifting to Hyderabad he had commenced his practice as an independent professional and within a short time he commanded a good volume of work in all branches of law like Constitution, Civil Criminal etc., and he has been an income tax assesse for the last five years. He was also a panel advocate of the Andhra Pradesh High Court Legal Services Committee. Apart from this he had worked as Chief Editor of Andhra Weekly Reporter and also Andhra Law Times (Criminal) for some time and he was also the honorary editor of Andhra Law times till recently. Hon’ble Mrs. Justice T. Meena Kumari was born on 3rd August, 1951 to late Shri Janapareddy Ramakrishna Rao Naidu and late Smt. J. Rajamani, hailed from Yalamanchili village of Visakhapatnam district, grand-daughter of late Dr. “Padmasri” Venkataswamy Naidu, a famous violinist of South India. Her father was lawyer by profession. After B.Sc., she took law degree from Osmania University. Enrolled as an Advocate in Bar Council of Andhra Pradesh and started practicing as an Advocate in High Court of Andhra Pradesh since 7th October, 1976. She worked as a Junior to Shri P. Shiv Shanker, Senior Advocate and former Judge of High Court of Andhra Pradesh, who is her brother-in-law. Her husband Shri Toom Bheemsen is also a practicing Advocate. Vakkala Venkata Subba Rao, better known as V.V.S.Rao of the High Court of Adnhra Pradesh was born on the 11th of July 1950 in a remote place known as Giddaluru. The Justice’s extensive education began at Sri Venkateswara University where he was awarded a B.Sc. in Botany, Zoology and Chemistry along with a B.Ed. He then attended the University of Saugar (now Dr. Hari Singh Gour University) where he was awarded a M.A. in Criminology and Forensic Science with the Dr. Ganesh Ram Mukharia Gold Medal for achieving the highest marks in the course. It was at this time that he also gained an LL.B degree.

From 1977 to 1980 Justice Rao worked for the Government owned Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation as an Assistant Regional Manager, although he left to practice law. The Justice was admitted to the Andhra Pradesh State Bar Council in 1980 and was designated a Senior Advocate in November 1996 during which time he practiced in administrative law, constitutional law, civil law and service law appearing on many significant cases in the High Court of Andhra Pradesh. He was standing counsel for the National Institute of Rural Development, another Government owned entity, from 1991 until 1996. In addition, he was standing counsel for High Court of Judicature of Andhra Pradesh from 1987 until 1999.

Justice Rao also acted as the Vice-President of the All Indian Lawyer’s Union from 1996-1998 as well as Vice-President and Acting President of the Andhra Pradesh Chapter of the International Jurists Organisation from 1995-1997. During this time he also served on the Indo-US Legal Study Team and a sub-committee which reported on the civil judicial process.

In 1999 Justice Rao was made an Additional Judge of High Court of Andhra Pradesh and was made a permanent member less than a year later in April 2000. In October 2006 Justice Rao began a relationship with the National Judicial Academy part of which involves him delivering seminars, workshops and other training programs. As part of this programme he was involved in an informal group of judges who reported to the Supreme Court of India on ‘Strengthening Judicial Systems Management’.

Justice Rao was member of Judicial Delegation led by Hon’ble the Chief Justice of India, that visited Australia from 18 to 26 September, 2009 and participated in ‘Australia – India International Cooperation Programme on Protection of Rights and improving Access to Justice’, Sydney. Retired on attaining the age of superannuation on the afternoon of 10.07.2012.

He is the grand son of Grandhi Venkata Reddy Naidu, Former Minister for Law, Courts, Prisons and Endowments in the first Cabinet of State of Andhra Pradesh and son of Grandhi Kesava Rama Murthy, a leading Advocate for 54 years at Narasapur, West Godavari, District.

He was born on 09-04-1951 and had his education at Narasapur, Andhra Loyola College, Vijayawada and Andhra University, Waltair. He won the Andhra University Law College Decennial Celebration Prize in 1969 for securing the highest number of marks.

He was enrolled as Advocate on 10-04-1972 and practised at Narasapur. He joined the State Judicial Service as a direct recruit District Munsif on 16-08-1976. He worked as Munsif Magistrate at Chirala, Razole, Repalle, Amalapuram, Sirpur and Hyderabad.

He was a Member of the Executive Council and General Council of Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University, Visakhapatnam. He is a Life Member of Indian Council of Arbitration (ICA), New Delhi and the International Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution (ICADR), New Delhi and is in the Panels of Arbitrators of ICA and ICADR. He was also the Chairman of the Institutional Ethics Committee of FACTS (Fraternity of Advanced Cardiovascular Techniques and Solutions) Foundation, Hyderabad. Studied LL.M., (Crimes and Tort branch) in the Evening Law College, Osmania University and obtained LL.M., degree with high second class in 1985. Secured first class in Post Graduate Diploma in PM, IR and LW from Andhra Pradesh Productivity Council. On account of father’s employment all over Andhra Pradesh although a native of Nellore Town, neither lived nor studied at Nellore. Father (late Sri K.P. Narayana Rao) was a distinguished and a legendary judicial officer during his time. After passing Law from Andhra University, enrolled as an advocate in August, 1976 and started practising as an Advocate in the chambers of late Sri E. Ayyapu Reddy, a Senior and leading criminal lawyer in the High Court of A.P., Hyderabad. The Hon’ble Sri Justice P. Swaroop Reddy was a colleague advocate at that time. Practised by and large on criminal appellate side for about 4 ½ years before appointment as a Junior Civil Judge in April, 1981. Underwent training at Guntur under his father late Sri K.P. Narayana Rao, who opened his service register. It is a unique case in the history of judiciary where a father opened the service register of his son. Promoted as a Senior Civil Judge in 1989. Appointed as a District Judge (Grade-II) in 1995. First batch of family court judges in the State of A.P. in 1995. Worked as a Senior Faculty Member, Andhra Pradesh Judicial Academy in 1996-97. Worked as Law Secretary, Legal Affairs from 2000 till 2004 and was in Full Additional Charge of the post of the Law Secretary (Legislative Affairs and Justice) from 2001 to 2004. Worked as Principal District Judge, East Godavari District at Rajahmundry and Y.S.R. District at Kadapa and also worked as Chief Judge, City Civil Courts, Hyderabad. Promoted as a Selection Grade District Judge in 2003. Elevated as an Additional Judge of High Court of Andhra Pradesh on 15.11.2010.

Hobbies are watching Cricket, Reading, Philosophy, Astrology, Telugu literature and English literature. Was known to possess leadership qualities right from school days. Was elected leader in the school days, college days and Post Graduate period and was considered to be a leader in the University although did not contest for any post as a student of BL. Wife Dr. A. Krishna Kumari, who is a Ph.D., in Law and General Manager in Law in M/s. GMR Companies, is the force behind, friend, philosopher and guide. Blessed with a son by name Chaitanya who has been an Engineer since 2003. Appointed as permanent Judge, High Court of A.P., and assumed charge as Judge on 19-01-2012 F.N. Retired on attaining the age of superannuation on the afternoon of 25-11-2014.

Born in an agriculturist family on 10.05.1954 in Timmapur village, Jannaram (Mandal), Adilabad District to Sri Gunda Beerpuri and Smt. Marthamma. He completed primary education, 1st to 3rd class at his native village and primary school at Timmapur. He completed the upper primary and secondary education i.e., 4th to S.S.C., from Z.P.H.S., Tapalapur. He completed intermediate and graduation i.e., B.A. at Government Arts and Science College, Adilabad. He completed LL.B., M.A. (Political Science) and LL.M. from Osmania University, Hyderabad.

Enrolled as an Advocate on the rolls of Bar Council of A.P. on 6.11.1980 and joined the chambers of Sri I.Venkatanarayana, who was later elevated to the Bench of A.P. High Court and now functioning as Chairman of A.P. State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Hyderabad. On 8.4.1983, he was selected for undergoing training for a period of three years in Administration of justice sponsored by the Social Welfare Department, Government of A.P. and was allotted to the office of the then Government Pleader for Education, High Court of A.P., Sri Syed Shah Mohammed Quadri, who was later elevated as Judge of A.P. High Court, functioned as the Acting Chief Justice, was later elevated as Judge of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and who functioned as Chairman of Authority for Advance Rulings (Central Excise and Customs), New Delhi.

He functioned as Government Pleader during (1991–95) and 1999 to November, 2002 and dealt with cases relating to the Department of Social Welfare, Panchayat Raj & Rural Development; Finance and Planning, Labour, Employment and Training; Prohibition and Excise. During his tenure as G.P. for 2nd term, he dealt with the cases relating to Act 2/94 and F & P (FW PC III) Department, dated 22.4.1994 etc., relating to the regularization to services of NMRs etc. While functioning as G.P. for Prohibition and Excise, he assisted the Hon’ble Court in rendering remarkable decisions, including Full Bench Judgement relating to ‘Black Jaggery’ reported in 2002 (I) ALT 611 (F.B.), based on which recently A.P. Excise Act, 1968 was amended.

He functioned as Standing Counsel for several institutions during the following periods: ( i ) A.P. Scheduled Castes Co-Op. Finance Corporation Ltd. 1987 – 91,1995 – 99

Dilip Babasaheb Bhosale was born on 24th October 1956. After completing his education and obtaining a Degree of Law from Government Law College, Mumbai, he joined the Bar in June-1980. Since then he was practicing in the Bombay High Court at Mumbai till his elevation as Judge of that Court on 22nd January, 2001. He was then transferred to Karnataka High Court on 6th January, 2012 and then to this High Court vide notification dated 1st December, 2014. He assumed the charge as a Senior-most Judge of this High Court on 8th December, 2014.

2. He was Assistant Government Pleader and Assistant Prosecutor in the High Court at Mumbai during 1986-1991. He was appointed on the panel of Senior Counsel in the Bombay High Court by the Government of India in 1996. He was also appointed as a Special Counsel in the High Court by the Government of Maharashtra in 1998. He represented the Government of India and the Government of Maharashtra as Special Counsel in several important cases. He also represented Maharashtra State Farming Corporation, Maharashtra State Finance Corporation, Maharashtra State Marketing Federation, Maharashtra State Cotton Grower Federation in the Bombay High Court. He was also Standing Counsel for number of educational institutions, sugar factories, District Central Co-operative Banks, Municipal Corporations, Municipal Councils, various Co-operative Societies and Trusts.

During his practicing days, he enjoyed three consecutive terms of five (5) years each as an elected member of the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa since 1985 till his elevation as High Court Judge. During this period, he was elected as Vice-Chairman in 1987-88 and Chairman in 1993-94 of the State Bar Council. In April 1998 he was elected as a member of the Bar Council of India, representing the State of Maharashtra and Goa and became its Vice-Chairman in April 2000, for a period of two years. He was also President of one of the most prestigious and old Bar Associations of Bombay High Court, namely, “Advocates Association of Western India” for a period of two years (1997-1998 and 1998-1999). He was member of the Legal Education Committee for 3 years (1998-2000) constituted under the Advocates Act. He was also member of the General Council, National Law School, Bangalore since 1998 for about 12 years. He was a Trustee of one of the oldest Law Libraries in the Bombay High Court, namely “Kirtikar Law Library” between 1992-2001. He has been an elected member of the Governing Council from Judges Constituency of Indian Law Institute, New Delhi since 2006. He had the honour to be a member of the delegation representing Lawyers in India in the Common-Wealth Lawyers Conference held in September-1999 at Kaulalampur, Malaysia. He was also entrusted with the responsibility of attending the Bar Leaders Conference organized by the International Bar Association held on 15th and 16th September, 2000, representing the Lawyers in India. He also led the delegation of Indian Lawyers to the International Lawyers Conference of I.B.A in 2000.

4. He comes from a family of Freedom Fighters. His parents and maternal grandparents were freedom fighters. His father Barrister Babasaheb Bhosale was Chief Minister of the State of Maharashtra. His uncle Prof.Shivajirao Bhosale was Vice-Chancellor of Marathwada University, Maharashtra. His all family members are settled in Mumbai. He was married to Smt. Arundhati on 26th April, 1982 and blessed with son-Karan and daughter-Neha. Both are married and settled in Mumbai.

He is a champion of public interest and social justice and argued several cases of public interest including the Medical Colleges case against capitation fee (1992 (3) ALT 99), Prohibition Case (AIR 1997 AP 312) and Environmental cases. The case argued for protection of forests in agency areas is well known all over India as ‘Samatha’ case (AIR 1997 SC 3297). He was a Government Pleader assisting the then Advocates General in 1995 & 1996. He was Counsel for T.T.D., A.P. Pollution Control Board, National Institute of Open Schooling, New Delhi, United India Insurance Co. Ltd., and Bajaj Allianz Insurance Co. Ltd.
