Door- to- Door Campaign for Differently Abled persons :
As per directions of the Hon'ble Patron-in-Chief and the Hon'ble Executive Chairman,
APSLSA, the Chairpersons of DLSAs, constituted a team of panel lawyers, Para Legal Volunteers
(PLVs), Asha Workers and Community Health Officers etc., to visit door to door campaign for a
period of two weeks, to identify the differently abled children and also to cause enquiry whether
any differently abled children are present in the houses without sending for treatment to District
Early Intervention Centres (DEICS), Rashtriya Swasthya Karyakram (RKSK) and Bala Swasthya
Karyakram (RBSK) etc., screening them at early age which will reduce the gravity of the disability
as a part of an implementation of NALSA (Legal Services to persons with Mental Illness and
persons with Intellectual Disabilities Scheme, 20124 & NALSA (Child Friendly Legal Services for
Children Scheme, 2024) During the campaign 8,598 differently abled persons have been identified.
