Lunch was organized for all by the Akshaya Foundation of ISKCON at subsidized rate of Rs.5/- per person. The
Judges; Advocates and staff of the High Court were all served the same lunch. Judges led by the Hon’ble the
Acting Chief Justice also ate lunch in the same tent along with the others. Advocates worked under the tents /
shamiyana provided to them for shade. The advocates and staff discharged their duties with great enthusiasm
and hope. Chambers / Computers / Court Masters / Court staff were all shared between Benches / Judges.
Chambers were shared by Judges. Yet the enthusiasm did not go down.

cases were disposed off in these rudimentary Court Halls.
The total cases filed in the period upto 18.03.2019 is 8398.
The Total cases disposed were 3863.
While discharging duties from this very temporary Court; hopes were focused on the new Court complex at
Nelapadu. Work was going on a hectic pace. Virtually every day advocates and Judges would visit the under
construction court complex to see the progress.
News was trickling in that the Hon’ble the Chief Justice of India would inaugurate the new complex and lay the
foundation for the permanent High Court complex.
With this hope in mind the good work continued in this temporary building with small Court Halls and rudimentary
facilities. But the enthusiasm of the Advocates, the staff was admirable. In these trying circumstances also
cases were heard and disposed off.
03.02.2019: Ultimately the day dawned and the Hon’ble the Chief Justice of India in the presence of a host of
dignitaries inaugurated the Nelapadu Court complex and laid the foundation for the High Court.
18.03.2019: After this function the High Court started functioning from Nelapadu and is continuing to do so,
till date.
