HIGH COURT
OF ANDHRA PRADESH
By the Letters Patent dated 28th Dec., 1865, issued by Queen Victoria., a High court was established for
the Presidency of Madras, in which a large part of the present state of Andhra Pradesh was a part. After
Independence, the Presidency of Madras became the state of Madras.
